I know this will not remain forever However it's beautiful Your eyes, hands and your warm smile They're my treasure It's hard to forget I wish there was a solution Don't spend your time in confusion I will turn back now and spread
My broken wings still strong enough to cross the ocean with My broken wings How far should I go drifting in the wind Higher and higher in the light My broken wings still strong enough to cross the ocean with My broken wings How far should I go drifting in the wind Across the sky, just keep on flying -Broken Wings, (Trinity Blood)
Not sure why, but the word that immediately that popped in my mind when I saw this was "Icarus."
Like that Greek story about father who made his son wings of wax and feathers to fly away, but he got too close to the sun, and the wings melted, and he fell, and he fell into the sea, AND he fell into the sea and drowned. (Hilarious)
Connection to your piece? (In my mind) You got a female Icarus, with wings "broken wings" that look like they're being melted by the warm sunlight from above, while you got your figure standing in the water to represent the sea he drowns in... I know this prob wasn't your inspiration by any means, but it reminded me so much of that story that I had to share my thoughts. lol
