I really wanted to finish this piece even though at times it seemed hopeless. At first this art work was almost incorrigible because I didn't know my perspective well enough to figure out how to lean her body forward, or the wolf's anatomy of the head, or her arms holding the spears, etc. My friend kept telling me to give up on it, but the vision in my head for this piece was too strong to give up. I'll probably post up my miserable art process for this piece later, but for now enjoy! lol. I'm really glad it turned out the way it did, because I rarely do backgrounds for my art. So please comment or fave or tell me something of what you think!
Thank you again for all the support! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!

When I was little I used to watch this movie all the time, and it's still a favorite of mine. When I first saw the picture, the very first thing that caught my eye was the beauty of the wolf and lovely Mononoke riding. They are both very well done and show a feral elegance. Basically, I love it <3 Absolute love. And if anything were to be looked at for improvement, I would simply suggest the spirits and a bit on her face. That aside, it's a very beautiful picture. I am excited to see more of your work.
Breath taking and thought envoking. It makes me tear up at the memory of sitting in my living room and watching Princess Mononoke for the first time at one o'clock in the morning. It was one of the better portraits of this wild child and one of the best that I've seen in a long time. There are minor mistakes, but all are so minor that it seems unnoticable. The wolf's eyes pierce into you as if it were real and that causes wonderous emotion through any viewer of this masterpiece. This are belongs in a museum. Keep with your artisitic path, you are truely gifted.
I really like this shot. If you still have your digital file, and your shades are on a separate layer, try to tint them blue/purple. I think you'll find it makes the skin come to life, so to speak, instead of grey. Loving her expression.
