Someday Return...

I see this image in my head.

A man, who cries for me.

No, no he is not weak,

Nor he is strong.

But the look in his eyes,

They tell a story.

 

A story of a shattering heart,

A story with no start.

A story where a man is left to die,

And death in front of his eyes.

 

His tears shed in memories,

Like puzzles they seem to scatter.

I try to help put them back,

But every time I try,

I seem to lose myself with him.

 

There is no help for him,

No cure.

But I want to be there for him,

To be with him through happiness,

And sadness,

The good times,

And the bad times.

And maybe,
Just Maybe

The man that he once was,

Will return to him,

To me…

<sub>I wrote this poem in April 12, 2006. Yeah...so long ago.
Recently, there has been a lot of odd occurrences, and meetings with people that brought up certain memories. I wasn't sure how I felt about any of them, since I've forgotten a lot of stuff since middle school. But this poem kept haunting me throughout the day recently. I decided that I would share it, since I know some people currently could perhaps feel the same way about it.
